Islam, was killed in a car accident at Raidongia in the Nagaon district of
Assam yesterday night.

color:#0E101A">Aashiqui Islam, apprehended by the police on 29 May, was taken
to the Nagaon Police Station from his residence at Juria in a police vehicle.

color:#0E101A">The incident unfurled when Ashiqul attempted to flee from the
police's custody, and he jumped off the moving vehicle. Tragedy struck when he
was hit by the escort vehicle of the police that was coming from behind.

rounds of ammunition from his residence. The t-shirt he was wearing during the
Batadrava incident had also been recovered from his house. "We conducted
search operations at Ashiqul Islam's residence at Sonaibera after he had
admitted that he kept arms and ammunition hidden in his house", a police
official informed.

Police (SP), said that Islam's mobile phone was also seized along with the arms
and ammunition.
