After a huge investment of Rs. 34,000 crore by American internet giant Google in Mukesh Ambani’s led Reliance Jio Platforms, Google may soon invest in Bharti Airtel, which might run into several thousands of crores of rupees, as per media reports.

Since last year, both Google and Airtel are in an advanced stage of discussions and negotiations, said media reports. The reports say that the investment from both the companies can be quite large in amount.

The outline of the partnership presently working here with regards to the Jio and Google partnership, might have come with a restriction to invest in any of its rival companies, including Airtel or Vodafone Idea.

Bharti Airtel is already looking for premises to raise capital and invest in the 4G networks around the country. Jefferies, a multinational company believes, that since there's no need of raising cash at the moment, the telco is likely assuming that it will need a larger capacity network to hold all the Vodafone Idea (Vi) customers, Telecom Talk reported.

Thus, a large investment from Google in Airtel can sort a lot of things, it will allow the company to smoothly pay off its debt to the government and also keep investing in 4G and 5G networks.
