In a further development to the alleged ‘Worms in Chicken’ incident involving ‘The Three Guys’ restaurant located at Jonali in Guwahati, Minister Pijush Hazarika has ordered the restaurant to be shut down for 7 days, if anomalies are found during the tests besides announcing an inquiry against the restaurant.
According to reports, the Minister also asked the other restaurants to be careful while cooking and serving food to the cutomers threatenening further that he will order them to be shut down if he comes across any discrepancy.
Earlier, in a shocking incident, it was alleged by some customers of ‘The Three Guys’ restaurant that they have found womrs in the chicken that was being served to them in the restaurant on Wednesday.
The customers had also recorded a video of the entire incident where they are seen confronting the retaurant people about the worms in the chicken that was served to them on Wednesday. The customers had ordered a plate of Hot garlic Chicken in which they allegedly found the worms.
They further alleged that the restaurant must have mixed some old, rotten chicken along with the fresh chicken as they can clearly see worms in the chicken dish served to them. The restaurant authorities meanwhile denied the allegations as seen in the video.
The incident led to much sensation in Guwahati as this was not the first time such an incident had been reported in the city when questions have been raised about the food that is being served in the eateries of the city.
Later, Food Safety officials arrived at the spot and took samples of the food that was served to the customers. They also stated that they were not happy with the hygine condition of the kitchen beside the fact that they came across spices that seemed to have expired 5 years ago, while speakiing to the media.
Also, some media persons, allegedly that they were pushed and abused by the retaurant authorities when they had arrived at the spot to collect news.
Restaurant authorities have meanwhile denied all allegations and have asked their customers to have patience and wait for the test results to come out.
