Rangiya’s famous “Deka Sweets” which has been serving its customers since 2105, has now caught the attention of our PM Narendra Modi.
Modi, while interacting with the owner of the sweetmeat shop, Hriday Deka via his ‘Narendra Modi Mobile App’ on Tuesday, praised the entrepreneur for his endeavor and asked to expand his business. Prime Minister Modi encouraged Deka to aim for higher.
The sweetmeat shop, which is popular for its juicy-soft ‘rosogolla’, is located at the MG road of the town, has been able to attract sweet lovers since 2015.
It may be mentioned that the app is an Android application and is a one-stop destination for knowing about all the latest day-to-day activities of eh Prime Minister. With just one click, the interactive ‘Narendra Modi’ app allows the user to connect with the PM.
During the video conferencing with Modi, Deka shared his experiences and problems as to how he started off with his endeavor and how his customers started loving his juicy sweet sweets especially his ‘rosogollas’.
Deka also mentioned that he started his business after taking a loan of Rs 55,000 under the MUDRA loan scheme.
When Modi asked Deka about the specialty of his shop, he said that ‘rosogollas’ of his shop are very famous. Later, Modi told Deka to promote the ‘rosogollas’ of his shop so that it gains its own identity not just in Assam but outside Assam too.
Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana is a scheme launched by Prime Minister on April 8, 2015 for providing loans upto Rs 10 lakh to the non-corporate, non-farm small/micro enterprises.
Modi also suggested Deka to support the digitization campaign and enforce the same in his shop.
