Global markets:
Most European stocks saw gains while the Asian market collapsed on Thursday. China's consumer price inflation in December slipped to 0.1%. US markets are closed as the nation is mourning the death of former President Jimmy Carter.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) have sold equity of more than 10,000 crore in January so far. The reduction in the value of the rupee in the market will be tailwinds for the IT market. Expectations from US President Donald Trump's policy decisions and the Indian Union Budget proposals will keep the market unpredictable in the near future.
The Nifty and Sensex lost 2.39% and 2.33% respectively in the trading week that ended on Jan 10.
