Stockholm: Greta Thunberg, on Tuesday took it to Twitter to announce that she would be donating funds to multiple organizations that have been helping to fight the adverse effects of floods in Northeast India and Bangladesh.
In a series of tweets, Greta confirmed the news herself. She wrote, “Right now millions are suffering from extreme flooding fuelled by the climate crisis in India and Bangladesh-already hit by the devastation of cyclone Amphan and COVID-19. My foundation will donate €100.000 prize money to BRAC, Goonj, Action Aid India- and Bangladesh.”
As per the Assam State Disaster Management Authority, the floods have claimed the lives of 104 till now, a total of 21 districts are still affected.
