The truth of “Chinese occupation” should also be admitted now, Gandhi tweeted in Hindi. The Congress leader has been asking the government over the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, particularly after the eastern Ladakh standoff.
India and China on Thursday agreed to operate the 14th round of military talks to reach the purpose of complete ease in continuing friction points along LAC in eastern Ladakh.
The eastern Ladakh border standoff between the Indian and Chinese militaries erupted on May 5, 2020, after a frantic encounter in the Pangong lake regions. Both sides gradually improved their deployment by rushing in tens of thousands of soldiers and huge weaponry.
Both sides currently have around 50,000 to 60,000 troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the sensitive area.
