CBSE has prohibited the use of the ChatGPT AI application in board exams...
Digital Desk: Beginning today, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has prohibited the use of ChatGPT, an AI-based tool, in Class 10 and Class 12 board exams.
"Mobile, ChatGPT and other electronic equipment will not be permitted in the examination venue," read one of the CBSE board exam guidelines.
According to board officials, using ChatGPT during the exam will be considered unethical.
"Students are not permitted to bring any electronic devices into the exam centre. This involves employing a device to access ChatGPT to avoid using unfair means "According to PTI, a top board official stated.
ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer), which will be released in November 2022, may create writing that resembles human speech, songs, marketing material, news items, student essays, and more based on the input it gets.
A large language model (LLM), a novel artificial intelligence (AI) system, is designed to produce human-like writing by anticipating forthcoming word sequences.
The exam admits card also has a cautionary note that reads, "You should not engage in any unethical behaviour. If you are discovered, you will be charged with Unfair Means (UFM) Activity and action will be taken following the board's rules." as per the official statement.
"Do not believe in false social media videos and statements. Do not spread rumours as well. You could be charged with using unfair means " It further said.
