Guwahati : The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) announced the Class 10 result 2019 (Assam HSLC) on Wednesday. Keeping up with the trend, this year too, girls outshone boys riding the shining armor.
Meghashree Borah from Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, Narayanpur, Lakhimpur has secured the first position in the HSLC exam results 2019 with 594 marks out of 600.
Chinmoy Hazarika from Don Bosco High School, Baghchung and Pratyasha Medhi from St Mary’s HS School, Guwahati bagged the second position.
The third rank was also shared by two candidates – Afreen Ahmed from Christjyoti School, Nagaon and Anushree Bhuyan from St Mary’s HS School, Guwahati received 591 marks.
A total of 39 candidates have been able to secure positions among the top 10 rank holders. 48599 candidates secured 1st division, 71029 candidates 2nd division and 82889 students successfully secured 3rd division. Here’s a trend chart of the Assam HSLC examination results in the last 10 years.
In the district wise performance, Dhemaji recorded the highest pass percentage with 83.28 per cent followed by Sivasagar (70.28%), Nalbari (70.08%) and kamrup (M) with 69.31 per cent.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal congratulated all the successful students, whom he hailed as his ‘young friends’. “Heartiest congratulations to all candidates who have successfully cleared the HSLC and AHM examinations. Proud of my young friends who are the shapers of our tomorrow. My best wishes to them for their future endeavors,” Sonowal tweeted.
