Digital Desk: The Election Commission has stated that actor Rajkummar Rao will be its national icon ahead of the next elections.
Furthermore, the Election Commission of India has stated that a formal ceremony to bestow this accolade on the actor will take place on Thursday.
As of now no confirmation has been registered and ANI being the source Rajkummar has yet to make an official statement on the matter.
The Election Commission of India recently announced that over 161 million individuals in five different Indian states are preparing to vote in the upcoming assembly elections.
Mizoram will hold elections on November 7th, according to the election schedule. Chhattisgarh, which has a 90-member assembly, will hold elections in two stages on November 7 and 17.
Meanwhile, elections in Madhya Pradesh and Telangana are planned for November 17 and 30, respectively. Rajasthan, which was supposed to hold elections on November 23, will now hold them on November 25. The count will be held on December 3rd.
Rajkummar Rao on his work front is going to reconnect with his "Roohi" co-star Janhvi Kapoor in an upcoming film in which they will play cricketers. However, no official release date for this film has been declared as of yet. Apart from this movie, the actor is also expected to play a major role in the inspirational biography of industrialist Srikant Bolla, named 'Sri'. The cast of the film includes Alaya F, Jyothika, and Sharad Kelkar.
In addition, Rajkummar will co-star with Tripti Dimri in the film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.' Although information regarding the project remains limited, it is described as a family entertainer.
