'Adipurush' makers revise Lord Hanuman's 'jalegi tere baap ki' dialogue; New dialogue goes viral

The president of the association, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, demanded a ban on the film Adipurush's exhibition in a letter that was shared on the company's official letterhead.

Digital Desk: The dialogue in the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starring movie Adipurush has drawn criticism for being "cringe-worthy." The controversial lines in the movie have now been replaced by the producers as promised. The dialogue in question was delivered by Devdatta Nage's portrayal of Lord Bajrang (Hanuman) during the Lanka Dahan scene. It said, "Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, aag bhi tere baap ki, aur jalegi bhi tere baap ki."

The lines in the new prints, however, have been changed. The words have now been changed from "baap" to "Lanka". A viewer took to Twitter, where he shared a clip from the new prints, which sounds: "Kapda teri Lanka ka, tel teri Lanka ka, aag bhi teri Lanka ki, aur jalegi bhi teri Lanka hi."

A letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sent on Tuesday on the ongoing scandal surrounding Adipurush by the All India Cine Workers Association, an independent registered organisation comprising film technicians and workers. The group has called for a ban on the movie after claiming that it insulted the Hindu epic Ramayana. Furthermore, they requested that a FIR be filed against the writer of the dialogue Manoj Muntashir and director Om Raut for hurting religious sentiments.

The All India Cine Workers Association has written to PM Modi, the news agency ANI reported on Tuesday afternoon, pleading with him to "stop screening the movie and immediately order a ban of #Adipurush screening in the theatres and OTT platforms in the future."

The president of the association, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, demanded a ban on the film Adipurush's exhibition in a letter that was shared on the company's official letterhead. The dialogue and script for this film are clearly causing damage to Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman's names. Hindus' and Sanatan Dharma's religious feelings get hurt by the Adipurush movie.

Adipurush is inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana. Om Raut is the film's director. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Devdutta Nage are the film's leading actors. It was launched last week on June 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
