Digital Desk: The sudden and tragic demise of Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. The 25-year-old actress was found hanging from a fan with a piece of cloth in a hotel room in Varanasi on March 26.
While initial reports suggested that the actress had died by suicide, her lawyer, Shashank Shekhar Tripathi, has now alleged that she was murdered by some people in the hotel room.
In a letter addressed to CM Yogi Adityanath, Tripathi demanded a probe by the CBI or CB-CID into the matter. He raised several points, pointing at suspicion over the death, and alleged that many known people in the Bhojpuri industry were exploiting Dubey and not paying her for her work. He also stated that the actress's body was "forcibly cremated" despite her mother's insistence that the cremation should happen only after the post-mortem report arrives.
Moreover, Akanksha Dubey was born on October 21, 1997, in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, was a talented actress and dancer. She started her acting career on TikTok and Instagram by posting her short acting and dancing videos. Her talent garnered her a massive following on Instagram, and she made her debut in the film Meri Jung Mera Faisla. She went on to appear in Mujhse Shadi Karogi (Bhojpuri), Veeron Ke Veer, Fighter King, Kasam Paida Karne KI 2, and other films.
And she also took it to headlines almost a month ago when she posted on social media to disclose her relationship on Valentine's Day. She posted photos of herself with co-star Samar Singh, writing, "Happy Valentine's Day."
