    Digital Desk: In the midst of the recent debate over changing India's name to Bharat, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has renamed his upcoming film 'Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue'. It was once named 'Mission Ranigan: The Great Indian Rescue.' The announcement was made alongside the first look poster for the next flick.

    AKSHAY KUMAR'S FILM NAME CHANGES TO BHARAT

    Akshay Kumar's film title has been changed amid the internet debate over changing India's name to Bharat, which was proposed by the government during Parliament's forthcoming special session. The title of the upcoming film has been altered from 'Mission Ranigan: The Great Indian Rescue' to 'Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue.'

    The film is based on a true-life incident at "Raniganj Coalfield" and the heroic act of Late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill, who led Bharat's coal mine rescue mission. In November 1989, the courageous Jaswant Singh Gill played a key part in rescuing all surviving miners trapped within a flooded coal mine in Raniganj, which was a successful rescue attempt in Bharat despite all odds.

    Starring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, Ananth Mahadevan, Jameel Khan, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt, Omkar Das Manikpuri, 'Mission Raniganj' is an ode to the resilience, determination, and valour of the human spirit and engineering minds. The film is also Tinu Suresh Desai's follow-up to Rustom, which earned him critical and commercial accolades.

    'MISSION RANIGANJ' MOTION POSTER OUT

    The motion poster provides a glimpse into the tense rescue operation that took place when men became trapped beneath the 350-foot-deep coal mine. The heroic character of Late Jaswant Singh Gill, played by Akshay Kumar, emerges as the key role, saving the miners in a daring rescue attempt.
