    Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 box office collection day 8 earns ₹90.6 crore, expected to cross ₹100-crore mark soon

    OMG 2 grossed approximately 90.65 crore nett in its first eight days at the domestic box office...


    Digital Desk: Following early estimates, Akshay Kumar's film Oh My God 2 (OMG 2) grossed 5.6 crore nett in India on Friday. According to Sacnilk.com, OMG 2 has made approximately 90.65 crore nett at the domestic box office. The film grossed Rs. 85.05 crore in its first week.


    After earning 5.58 crore nett in India on Thursday, OMG 2 saw a modest increase on Friday. According to Sacnilk.com, the film is likely to gross around 8 crore on Saturday, bringing its total profits to 98.65 crore in nine days. The film was released on August 11, alongside Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, which has been doing exceptionally well at the box office.


    On Friday, OMG 2 had an overall occupancy of 24.53 per cent for Hindi shows. In India, the film grossed 10.26 crore nett on day one and 15.3 crores on day two, representing a 49.12 percent increase. On day 3, OMG 2 showed 14.71 percent growth, earning 17.55 crore nett in India. The film grossed 12.06 crore on day 4, 17.1 crore on day 5, and 7.2 crore on day 6, respectively.


    Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam also appear in OMG 2. Amit Rai directed the film, which stars Pankaj Tripathi as Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a Shiva devotee who sues the school system for fooling his child. In OMG 2, Akshay plays Lord Shiva's messenger, and Yami Gautam plays an attorney.


     Akshay Kumar expressed his gratitude and wrote including a video from OMG 2, " “A big thank you to our audiences for all the love for Oh My Gadar (OMG 2 and Gadar 2) and for giving us the greatest week in Indian film history. Pyaar aur abhaar”


    The first instalment, OMG: Oh My God, was released in 2012 and starred Akshay and Paresh Rawal. Umesh Shukla directed the film.
