Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s love for lavish gifts to Bollywood actresses was far reaching

Mumbai: The notorious ‘Natwarlal of Bollywood’ Sukesh Chandrashekhar has enjoyed life to the fullest. From duping people and sending lavish gifts to Bollywood actresses, the conman has floored many with his “bling bling” show.

From diamonds to a Tiffany & Co. bracelet, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez reportedly needed to only send a list of gifts to Chandrashekhar and the gifts would be delivered via one of his aides, as reports suggested.

Sukesh introduced himself to Jacqueline as the owner of Sun TV and claimed to be a member of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s ‘political family.’

He told her he was a big fan and that she should be a part of some of the “many film projects” he had lined up in the south.

In reality, Sukesh Chandrashekhar is a millionaire conman who has extorted hundreds of crores of rupees from business people, politicians and celebrities, including actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi.

Born into a lower middle-class family in Bengaluru, Sukesh dropped out of school after Class 12. His father, Vijayan Chandrashekhar, who died recently, always encouraged him to study well.

After dropping out from school, Sukesh began his cheating spree. He would often pose as senior government officers, sometimes as a very high-ranking bureaucrat and dupe over 100 people on the pretext of getting their work done by the Bangalore Development Authority. However, he was soon exposed.

In 2007, he was arrested for the first time by Bangalore’s Bannerghatta Police.

Once out of police custody, he realized that it would be foolish to stop now. Later, he made some associates, expanded his racket and went on a spree to extort and cheat people. He was arrested several times, but as soon as he was out on bail, he resumed conning people.
