Good News! ‘The Kashmir Files’ soon to be release on OTT platform; check the date

The Kashmir Files, which was released on March 11, is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.

Digital Desk: Fans should be overjoyed! After an 8-week theatrical run, ‘The Kashmir Files’ will be released on the OTT platform. Notably, before the pandemic, films could only be released on OTT platforms after 8 weeks. But, the rule was later eased during the pandemic, and now, The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, will be released on Zee 5.

Notably, the film has broken several major box office records since its release.

According to reports, the blockbuster ‘The Kashmir Files’ will be released on Zee5 after 8 weeks in theatres.

“Before the movie was released, it was decided that it would not be available on OTT for another 8 weeks. Now that the film is doing exceptionally well, the plan is to keep it in theatres as much as possible. Not just the typical filmgoer, but many people who haven’t been to a movie theatre in years have gone to see The Kashmir Files,” Bollywood Hungama said, citing a source.

“The film is in its third week, and there is still a huge market for it, with requests coming in from far-flung areas. Despite the release of the much-loved film RRR, it has managed to retain itself. As a result, Zee Studios and the other stakeholders have yet to set a date for the digital release. However, it will not be available on Zee5 for another 8 weeks. There’s no need to sacrifice a blockbuster theatrical run,” the source explained.

The Kashmir Files, which was released on March 11, is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Vivek Agnihotri directs the film, which stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi in key roles.
