Digital Desk: Shaan Mukherjee is one of the most popular playback singers in the Indian film industry. He has made substantial contributions to Indian music over the years. He has been spreading the enchantment of his voice for many years and has received international admiration. The singer is currently making news for his Eid greetings to his fans.

On Saturday, the musician took to Instagram to post a photo of himself wearing a skull cap. He captioned his photo, "Eid Mubarak to You and Your Family." However, his comments section quickly filled up with angry and harsh comments criticizing him for sending Eid Mubarak despite being Hindu. They criticized him for dressing in Muslim attire while not being Muslim.

After getting backlash over the post, the singer disabled the comment section.

Soon after, Shaan shared a video and responded with humbleness, saying how he was raised to appreciate all religions equally. He also stated that the image was taken from his 'Karam Karde' music video, which was published three years ago. He wrote, "Usme ye Look Tha... toh socha it goes with the occasion... bas itni si baat."

The singer stated that he celebrates all festivals and that everyone should believe in that as well. "I was taught as a child to celebrate every festival and to respect all religions. I firmly believe in this, and I think every Indian should do the same. Baaki aapki soch aapko Mubarak," Shaan stated.

For the uninitiated, Shaan started his career singing commercial jingles. In addition to singing, he has acted in the film Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence, which also features Raveena Tandon. He's also been a judge on a number of talent shows.
