Digital Desk: Director Ayan Mukerji opened up about the release date of the much-anticipated sequel Brahmastra Part Two: Dev. The first part, Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was released last year, and despite mixed reactions, the film became the highest-grossing film of the year.
Ayan recently talked about Brahmastra Part 2's progress during a media event and said that the film won't take as long to make as the prequel did. Ayan Mukerji revealed during an interview with News18 that pre-production work for Brahmastra 2 has already begun. "We’re at it. It will take a couple of years. And that’s one hundred percent better than ten years." He continued, "If we take another ten years, nobody will come to watch Brahmastra 2. We’re going to get it ready much before that," Ayan said.
Ayan revealed more details regarding the sequel, saying that it will feature Dev's past as well as continue the current timeline. However, when asked about the actors for the next film, Ayan said, "There is currently no answer to this subject. We must wait." Brahmastra is a planned trilogy based on Hindu mythology's accident astras. After Part One: Shiva and Part Two: Dev, the official title of the final part will be announced at the end of Part Two.
Ranbir will soon be seen in Luv Ranjan's rom-com Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The motion picture will debut on March 8. In addition to TJMM, Ranbir will star in Sandeep Reddy Wanga's actioner Animal. In contrast, Alia Bhatt will next be seen with Ranveer Singh in Karan Johar's romantic comedy Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani. Recently, Ranbir announced that he is also working on the biopic of musician Kishore Kumar with director Anurag Basu. The film will be released on April 29.
