Jawan’s Famous Dialogue ‘Bete Ko Haath Lagane Se Pehle’ was not a part of Script, Reveals writer
Through the plot, the film explores a number of social and political topics.

Digital Desk: The dialogue writer for the movie Jawan, Sumit Arora, the now-famous line from Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" "Bete ko hath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar" (Before touching the son, deal with the father) wasn't originally in the script.

When Shah Rukh's fans first saw the language in the action-entertainer's trailer, which was released a week before its September 7 premiere, they were immediately captivated.

On social media, many fans have connected the line that the superstar's character Vikram Rathore spoke during the film's conclusion as being in response to the arrest of his son Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case in October 2021. After serving 25 days in prison, Aryan was released on bail and given a clean slate.

Arora explained how the dialogue was added to the film, saying it happened on the day of the shooting.

"You will be convinced of the magic of filmmaking by this tale. In our original draught, that line was not present. We all understood that the "moment" in which SRK sir's character delivers the phrase is strong even without words, hence it was never really a "moment." But as we were filming, we thought there should be a line and this person should say something", the author stated in a statement.

"I was there on the set, so I was called in, and given the situation, and my first words were, "Bete ko hath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar. " It seemed like the most obvious and appropriate thing for him to say at that time. It simply fits (in). Both the director and SRK sir agreed that it was the right decision, and the shot was taken," he added.

Shah Rukh plays Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in the Tamil film Atlee, which was directed by him. Through the plot, the film explores a number of social and political topics.

The team didn't anticipate that the discourse would strike a chord with people in such a powerful way, according to Arora.

"We got goosebumps watching SRK sir deliver it. But we had no idea that line would become such a smash hit and strike such a chord with people. The only thing a writer can do is pen a line, but the rest of the story will write itself, he claimed.

Arora's future films include the Indian adaptation of "Citadel," which was directed by Raj Nidimoru & Krishna, and Kabir Khan's "Chandu Champion," which stars Kartik Aaryan.

Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone all make appearances in the pan-Indian movie "Jawan," which also stars Deepika Padukone. On September 7, it was released globally in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

At the global box office, it has generated over Rs 600 crore in revenue.
