The bill, officially named the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, proposes a 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
The introduction of this bill has been met with widespread support and enthusiasm from various quarters, including Bollywood celebrities Kangana Ranaut and Esha Gupta. Both actresses expressed their happiness and gratitude for this significant decision.
Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken views, visited the Parliament House and spoke to ANI about the bill, saying, "This is a wonderful idea, all thanks to our honorable PM Modi and his government's thoughtfulness towards the upliftment of women."
