Digital Desk: Maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam's staggering blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan: II will make its streaming premiere on Prime Video on June 2, 2023. The period drama will be available in Tamil, with dubs available in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, respectively. The epic historical fantasy adventure-drama, directed by Mani Ratnam and produced under his banner of Madras Talkies in collaboration with Subaskaran Allirajah's LycaProductions, is based on the amazing novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
The film, a sequel to the 2022 blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan: I, stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, R. Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, and R. Parthiban in important roles. The movie will be available for streaming to Prime members in more than 240 nations and territories from June 2. Ponniyin Selvan: II is the newest addition to the Prime membership. Prime members in India benefit from savings, convenience, and entertainment all in one membership for just Rs 1499 a year.

PS-II is a visual extravaganza that picks on from the thrilling climax of the previous film, which is also presently accessible for subscribers to stream on the platform. The film begins with a captivating preamble that explores the relationship between Aaditha Karikalan (Vikram) and Nandhini's (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), as well as the ongoing power struggle of succession for the Chola dynasty and focuses on ArulmozhiVarman's (Jayam Ravi) transformation into Rajaraja I, the revered king of the Chola dynasty.
