Digital Desk: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently shared insights into the remuneration dynamics in the film industry. Speaking on Unfiltered by Samdish, Nawazuddin disclosed that Bollywood actors earn substantial amounts for their roles. When asked about specific figures, he mentioned, "Uske aas paas" (Somewhere around that), indicating amounts in the ballpark of 10 crores or more.
In terms of negotiations, Nawazuddin emphasized his minimalistic approach, stating, "I don't negotiate a lot. The industry gives you how much you deserve." He believes that engaging in negotiations might lead to questions about an actor's worthiness for a certain amount.
The actor candidly admitted to choosing projects with financial considerations in mind. He explained, "I even tell (the makers) that I am doing this for money so that I can do films like Manto for free." This reveals his strategic approach to balancing commercial ventures with passion projects.
