Mumbai: Controversial model and actress Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bombay (Sam Ahmed) has been arrested by the Mumbai police on Monday after Poonam filed a complaint at Bandra police station accusing him of physical assault.
Reportedly, Poonam has been hospitalized due to her injuries in the head, eye and face.
Mumbai police said, “A case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). Poonam Pandey has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face which she claimed were done by her husband.”

Poonam Pandey is one of those celebrities who loves creating controversies for herself. Earlier, two weeks after their wedding Poonam filed a complaint against her husband for assaulting, molesting and threatening her. Sam was taken into custody by the goa police but the very next day he was released on conditional bail.
Earlier, Poonam stated that soon she will be ending her marriage but the couple soon patched up their differences. Reportedly, the complaint was filed in Goa where the couple had gone for their honeymoon.
In 2020, speaking about the incident that forced her to take action against Sam, Poonam said, “Our relationship has been always been abusive, Sam beats me like an animal. He choked me I thought I was going to die. He didn’t end up with it he punches me in my face, pulled me by my hair and banged head against the corner of the bed.”
He even knelt on my body, pinned me down and assaulted me. Somehow i managed to escape and come out of the room, she added.
The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Mumbai on September 10, 2020, after dating for three years.
