Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals toughest part of shooting for Shakuntalam; Says, 'grace is not my thing'
'Shaakuntalam' was originally supposed to hit theatres on November 4, but because of the post-production 3D conversion, it was delayed.

Digital Desk: Samantha Ruth Prabhu's upcoming movie, Shaakuntalam is set for release on February 17 and will hit cinemas worldwide. On Sunday, January 8, the Super Deluxe actress shared images from the training session and discussed the most challenging aspect of shooting.

Samantha shared a video of her pet dog on Instagram along with a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of her upcoming film as a present for her followers. In a photo from a training session, the actress was seen posing elegantly as Shaakuntalam's lead role and displaying her curves. Her dog Sasha, who was a pet, was seen in the video lying down on a couch.

She included a funny caption with a post that noted that neither she nor Sasha is particularly graceful.

The caption read, "The toughest part of #Shakuntalam was maintaining grace and posture while walking, talking, running... even crying! And grace is sooo not my thing. Had to take training sessions for it! Should have taken Sasha along... clearly so not her thing either! #LikeMotherLikeDaughter."

The movie is written and directed by award-winning director Gunasekhar and produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju under the banners of Gunna Teamworks and Dil Raju Productions, respectively, and is based on Kalidasa's celebrated Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. Dev Mohan plays the role of Dushyanta, the monarch of the Puru Dynasty, in the film.

The main plot of Shaakuntalam is the legendary love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant, who are alternately represented by Samantha from Yashoda and Dev Mohan of Sufiyum Sujatayum fame. Along with them, Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan, Prakash Raj, Gautami, Madhoo, Jisshu Sengupta, and Kabir Bedi appear in the epic love story.

The movie was originally supposed to hit theatres on November 4, but because of the post-production 3D conversion, it was delayed.
