Digital Desk: Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently promoting her next film Shaakuntalam. The actress will be seen playing Shakuntala after winning over fans with her action-packed portrayal in Family Man. The actress shared some behind-the-scenes stories from the movie's set before it was released.
On Monday, Samantha Ruth Prabhu released a video on Instagram describing some of the "crazy things" she experienced while filming Shaakuntalam. The actress admitted in the video that she had a weird floral allergy, saying, "I had a flower allergy. I had to wear flower decorations all day while shooting, and when I took them off, I got a flower impression on my arm. Since no one could fix it, I assumed it was a permanent condition. I covered that with cosmetics for almost six months before it finally disappeared.”
"Another odd thing, I got bit by a rabbit at the sets of Shakuntalam, but they are not so cute apparently," the actress added in referring to the incident where she was bitten by a rabbit on the Shakuntalam set.
On April 14, 2023, Gunasekhar's film Shaakuntalam will be released in theatres. Dev Mohan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will appear together on-screen. The epic love affair between Shakuntala and King Dushyant is depicted in the well-known Indian drama Shakuntala by Kalidasa, on which the plot of the movie is based. There will be Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions of the mythological romantic drama.
