Digital Desk: Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan's song "Beshram Rang" from their upcoming film Pathaan has been making headlines for a variety of reasons. Netizens have trolled the song for its bold scenes.

Now, Sherlyn Chopra has reacted to the song and referred Deepika Padukone as a member of the Tukde Tukde gang. The actress stated that a saffron-colored bikini is not acceptable. She also supported Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra's statement.

"I absolutely agree with Narottam Mishra ji, Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, who, when asked about Aamir Khan doing Kalash Pooja and Shah Rukh Khan offering prayers to Vaishnodevi Maa, said that individuals can offer prayers to whomever they believe in, but they must be sensitive of other people's beliefs and sentiments," Sherlyn Chopra stated in an interview with India Today.

"Deepika Padukone, a Tukde Tukde gang sympathiser, gyrating in a saffron coloured bikini in a film song titled 'Besharam Rang' is most surely not acceptable to the millions of Hindus who view saffron as the colour of purity, faith, and devotion," she added.

Shah Rukh Khan recently spoke at the Kolkata International Film Festival 2022 (KIFF) about the negative effects of social media and the toxic energy that spreads in society via social media platforms. Since the release of Pathaan's song "Besharam Rang," the hashtag "Boycott Pathaan" has been trending on Twitter. People are criticising SRK and Deepika Padukone's green and saffron costumes in the song on social media.

Without mentioning Pathaan, Shah Rukh discussed the "narrowness of view" on social media and even questioned individuals with a negative viewpoint. "Cinema and advent of articulation through social media platforms have now become the predominant manifestations of human emotions and experience. In contrast to popular opinion that the rise of social media will have a detrimental impact on cinema, I think cinema now has an even more significant role to play. Social media shapes the collective narrative of our times," said SRK.

Moreover, while responding to the '#BoycottPathaan' trend against his film, SRK said, "I have no objection in saying that whatever the world says, I, you and all positive people are (Zinda Hai) alive." His final 'zinda hain,' conveyed in the style of his Pathaan character, drew applause from the huge crowd gathered there.
