    Digital Desk: Sonu Nigam, was assaulted at a Mumbai event on Monday, February 20th. When fans clamoured for a selfie with the famous singer, one of the singer's aides was also shoved off the stage. Sonu Nigam was stepping down the stage after a live concert in Chembur when the attack took place.

    In an interview with reporters, Nigam stated that he fell on the steps after being pushed. Rabbani Khan arrived to help him but was pushed from behind. The singer expressed dismay, claiming Rabbani might have died. "I filed a lawsuit because people should think twice before forcing someone to take a photo," the singer stated addressing the reporters. 

    The singer also confesses of him stumbling down, as shown in the video. The singer alleged that he would have fallen beneath the platform if Rabbani had not intervened. The musician went on to say  "Jab mujhe push kiya toh main gir gaya. Agar peeche loha hota.. bach gaya, nahin to mar jaata (if there was iron behind them, they would have died).

    Sonu Nigam's allegedly said that, when he inquired about the culprit, he found that he was the son of MLA Prakash Phaterpekar. 

    As stated by officials, a colleague of Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam was manhandled during an alleged brawl over snapping a selfie with the latter at an event in Mumbai on Monday night.

    According to a police officer, the incident occurred at 11 p.m. while Nigam was in suburban Chembur for a music event.

    A video of the incident was afterwards shared on social media. Watch the video here: 


    A bunch of admirers approached the singer for a selfie as he was leaving the event, he said, when his two colleagues intervened.

    According to the official, both of Sonu Nigam's coworkers were abused by the spectators, resulting in one of them sustaining minor injuries.
