The Narendra Modi government may propose renaming India Bharat during the upcoming extraordinary session of Parliament. Vishnu Vishal, a Tamil actor, resorted to X (previously known as Twitter) to question the judgement.
Vishnu Vishal, on the other hand, is opposed to the decision and has aired his ideas on X. He questioned the film's necessity and asked how it would help the country's progress.

His post stated, "Thinking deep from this shoot location...Wat ?????? name change ???? But why????? How does this help our country’s progress and its economy? This is the strangest news have come across in recent times...India was always Bharat...We always knew our country as INDIA AND BHARAT...Why suddenly dispense INDIA...#justasking #INDIA #MeraBharatMahaan (sic)."
Amid all these aired talks, Vishnu took a grip on former Indian cricket player Virender Sehwag.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, like Amitabh Bachchan, showed his happiness on social media. He offered his assistance to the authorities.
According to Sehwag's tweet, "I have always believed a name should be one which instils pride in us. We are Bhartiyas, India is a name given by the British & it has been long overdue to get our original name ‘Bharat’ back officially. I urge the @BCCI @JayShah to ensure that this World Cup our players have Bharat on our chest (sic)."
Vishnu Vishal replied back on Sehwag's post, writing, "Sir with due respect... The name INDIA didn't instil pride in you all these years?? (sic)."
The upcoming session of Parliament, scheduled for September 18-22, is likely to include a motion to rename India Bharat. Meanwhile, an official dinner invitation for G20 delegates from Rashtrapati Bhavan emerged on Tuesday (September 5), with the title 'President of Bharat' instead of the regular 'President of India'.
