Digital Desk: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured when robbers entered his Bandra residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday. He was stabbed 6 times by the unidentified robbers who entered his residence to commit burglary. The 54-year-old actor was immediately rushed to the Lilavati Hospital. Doctors are working to treat the stab wounds of the injured actor.
According to reports, the incident occurred at 2.30 am when unidentified people entered the house. After hearing some sound the actor woke up and tried to prevent one intruder. Then he was stabbed six times by the intruder at this residence. The other family members were also at the residence when the incident occurred.
Dr. Nitin Dange, a neurosurgeon said that two of the six wounds are deep. One wound is near the spinal cord and has a foreign object and another one is on the left wrist.
A doctor from the Lilavati Hospital said that Saif's wounds are not life-threatening, but the extent of damage in his body will be known after the completion of his surgery.
Saif Ali Khan's team released a statement and said, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter."
Releasing a statement, wife Kareena Kapoor Khan's team, said, "There was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm, for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We
request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the police are already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern."
