New B-Town parents Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor named their daughter 'Raha'; See what the name means!

Digital Desk: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor became parents to a sweet girl child on November 6, 2022. The couple had their first child, a girl, and since then, people have been eager to learn the name of their baby girl. 

In fact, several fans compelled Alia to show off the little bundle of joy as well. Alia has now announced the name she has chosen for their child. She also explained what it signifies and who named the child.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have officially named their baby girl. The couple announced the birth of their daughter, Raha, on Instagram. The happy mother also explained the meaning of the name. "The name Raha (selected by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings," she captioned the photo. Raha, in its purest form, signifies divine route in Swahili she is Joy, Raha is a clan in Sanskrit, rest, comfort, relief in Bangla, peace in Arabic, it also denotes happiness, freedom, and bliss. (sic)"

She wrote, "And true to her name, we felt EVERYTHING from the very first second we held her! We are grateful to Raha for forming our family to life; it feels as though our lives are just getting started. (sic)” 

On November 6, Alia Bhatt published a statement announcing the birth of their daughter. She penned, "The happiest news of our lives thus far is that our baby girl has arrived, and what a wonderful child she is. We are privileged and obnoxious parents who are officially overflowing with love for Alia and Ranbir (sic)." She added a heart emoji to the caption.
