Digital Desk: Deepika Padukone has been named Louis Vuitton's first Indian brand ambassador, the French luxury house announced on Tuesday. Deepika joined Emma Stone and Chinese actor Zhou Dongyu to launch the Dauphine bag's new leather goods campaign.

"Following a strong collaborative relationship with Maison... the award-winning actress embarks on an exciting new chapter of her journey with Louis Vuitton," said the fashion house in a press release.

In addition to wearing Louis Vuitton outfits and bags regularly, the 36-year-old actress has previously modelled for the brand. Deepika became the first Indian actor to appear in a campaign for the brand in 2020. Along with Léa Seydoux and Sophie Turner, she posed for a mock vintage book cover.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is preparing to take on the role of a jury member at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The actress is a member of the 75th edition of the prestigious film festival's jury, which reviews and awards films. Deepika has apparently resumed her duties there, as she was seen leaving Mumbai on Monday.

French actor Vincent Lindon will preside over the Cannes 2022 jury. Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, actress screenwriter producer Rebecca Hall, Italian actress Jasmine Trinca, French director Ladj Ly, American director Jeff Nichols, and Norwegian director Joachim Trier will join Deepika Padukone on the jury.
