    Filmfare Awards South: Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa win big




     Digital Desk: The two biggest
    winners at the Filmfare Awards 2022 South on Sunday were Allu Arjun's Pushpa:
    The Rise and Suriya's Soorarai Pottru, recipient of a National Award. While Sai
    Pallavi and Lijo Mol Jose won the best actor (female) accolades for their roles in
    Love Story and Jai Bhim, respectively, Suriya and Allu Arjun shared the best
    actor prize for their performances.



     



    Seven awards, including best
    director for Sudha Kongara, were given out for Soorarai Pottru, a movie based
    on the life of the founder of Air Deccan. The award for the best film went to
    Suriya's Jai Bhim. On the other side, Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise won six
    accolades, including best director for Sukumar. Ala Vaikuntapuramlo by Arjun
    won three prizes.
