Los Angeles : Multifarious and internationally acclaimed filmmaker, Rupam Sarmah has brought laurels to the state of Assam by winning the ‘Best Film for inspiration and Global Impact (Founder’s award)’ for his movie One Little Finger, at the Riverside International Film Festival held in Los Angeles recently.
“Thank you all for supporting the film and participating in the Q&A session yesterday. This award belongs to all the kids who have acted in this film and the cast and crew members who have made it happen”, One Little Finger wrote on their Facebook Page.
The movie has been shot in the picturesque locals of Assam’s Jorhat, Sivasagar, Guwahati. The shoot locations also include Kolkata, South India, Mumbai, and the United States.
The movie is a Hollywood feature film (English). It is co-produced in India with the theme Ability in Disability.
Born in Assam, Sarmah has been living in the US since 1992. Apart from filmmaking, Sarmah is also apt in music direction, singing, entrepreneur and is by profession a computer engineer. He is also a Guinness World Record holder.

The film will be premiered in Cannes, France and has been officially selected in various international festivals such as – Marche du Film, Festival de Cannes, Dada Sahab Phalke International Film Festivl, and International World Peace Initiative.
The film will be officially released in the US on August 16th, 2019 while in India it has been scheduled for release in the month of September.
