Digital Desk: A few years ago, an Iranian woman named Sahar Tabar made waves on the internet after she posted eerie photos of herself that resembled Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie. In a recent TV interview, the 21-year-old revealed her true identity.
The woman, widely referred to as "Zombie Angelina Jolie," was previously imprisoned in 2019 on allegations of corruption and blasphemy. During the interview, she stated that she had more than 50 surgeries to look like an actress. Don't you agree that it sounds like the worst nightmare ever?
Reportedly, Tabar was sentenced to ten years in jail in December 2020. However, she was released after 14 months as a result of nationwide protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini last month.
She was sentenced to ten years in prison for blasphemy but was released early due to protests in Iran following the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody. Activist Masih Alinejad took to Twitter, where she penned, "Sahar Tabar is only 19. Her joke landed her in jail. Her mother cries every day to get her innocent daughter freed. Dear Angelina Jolie, we need your voice here. Help us."
After being released from prison, the young woman also asserted that she had lip fillers, liposuction, and a nose job, but she claimed that the famed pictures were the result of Photoshop editing and makeup.
According to a report, Sahar stated, "What you saw on Instagram was the computer effects I used to create the image." She further explained how she wanted to become famous as a child and felt ''cyberspace was an easy way'' to grab the limelight.
Later, in an interaction, she stated and promised that she would never use Instagram on her phone again.
