Mumbai: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi said that he could never be conventional on setting notions as to how a Bollywood actor should be although he tries to strike a balance for his viewers.
Hashmi who has been popularly known for his roles in movies like Murder, Jannat, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Ghanchakkar, said that it was a struggle for him to balance the act. He further added that when the audience see an actor in a particular thing, they get upset when the actor steps out of it.
He said that there are some set notions as to what an actor should be and should not be. “In the end of ‘Ghanchakkar’ when I am getting beaten up, the audience was angry, a lot of distributors said why are you doing this? I was being honest to the character.
Hashmi said looking back at his career, he can see that he did a lot of films that he would not watch as a viewer. The 40-year-old actor said it was also hard to come out of his image.
