Kangana Ranaut's spy-thriller 'Dhaakad' to premiere on Zee5 on this date

Digital Desk: After its theatrical release in May, the action film starring Kangana Ranaut, Arjun Rampal, and Divya Dutta will be available to watch from the comfort of one's own home. Dhaakad will have its World Digital Premiere on July 1 on ZEE5. In addition to a strong line-up of original series and films,  blockbuster hits like RRR, The Kashmir Files, Valimai, Antim, Jhund, Attack, and others are also available for streaming on the app. 

Dhaakad, directed by Razneesh Ghai, is a spy thriller starring Kangana and Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, and Saswata Chatterjee in supporting roles. Dhaakad has an international scale and execution-style of action sequences, all designed by an international crew, and was shot by Japanese cinematographer Tetsuo Nagata (La Vie en Rose). Dhaakad, with its action, gunshots, and eccentric characters, has been praised by filmgoers for its daring attempt at storytelling.

Dhaakad revolves around Agni (Kangana), an International Task Force special agent assigned to eliminate international human and arms trafficker Rudraveer (Arjun Rampal), who also runs a coal mafia. During this battle, her tragic childhood past comes to the fore more frequently than she would like, and she discovers shocking truths about her tragedy, one of which is even linked to Rudraveer.

Dhaakad will be available to watch online from July 1. The film's premiere was officially confirmed by streaming partner ZEE5 with the statement, "Keep the fire extinguishers ready! Agent Agni is coming soon to set your screens on fire (sic)."

The action sequences were well received on the big screen, and now that the film is available digitally, more people will applaud the team's effort.

 "Dhaakad was an extreme film that required a lot of physical and emotional transformation.  Indian films can be of international quality and feature female action heroes. Prepare to see me as a killing machine on ZEE5 beginning July 1," Kangana said.
