Karan Johar feels victimized by reports that his 50th birthday party was a "Covid hotspot"
During an interview with Film Companion, the filmmaker expressed his displeasure with the situation and stated that he had nothing to do with it.

Digital Desk: Karan Johar celebrated his 50th birthday on May 25 at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. The birthday bash was truly a star-studded affair, with several B-town celebs on the attendance list. However, after the celebration, it was reported that over 40-50 of the visitors at KJo's party had tested positive, making the party the epicentre of the outbreak. The filmmaker has now spoken out in response to the reports.

Stars including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan attended the  KJo's birthday bash. However, several reports revealed that KJo's party became a Covid-19 hotspot as the number of cases increased. During an interview with Film Companion, the filmmaker expressed his displeasure with the situation and stated that he had nothing to do with it.

"There were reports and pieces in the media claiming it had turned into a super-spreader. Not to be too analytical, but we have no idea who contracted it or when it happened because a lot was going on that week, even in the movie industry. Why should I blame myself when other parties, weddings, events, and photo shoots are going on? "Why does everything have to come down to me?" KJo questioned.

"I don't want to come across as a victim, but I feel moderately victimized.  I'm like, I don't have anything to do with this pandemic; I just want to make it public.  I don't believe that it's my fault. I do not know how this pandemic started or where it came from. I'm simply putting it out there. So why did people write how many people got it? Did it happen at my party? I'm not saying it; I dont know," he added.

Notably, the 'Punjaabban' by 'Jugjugg Jeeyo' track seemed to have a grip on Bollywood superstars. Many others have taken to social media to share videos of themselves dancing to the new song. Recently, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan were also seen collaborating with Karan Johar, the film's producer, to nail the hook step of the song.

Speaking on the work front, Karan will make his directorial debut with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
