New York : Celebrities have no conscious limit when it comes to dressing up for a mega event attracting global attention. Slaying down the ramp with dresses designed by top designers makes photographers click the oomph factor sashayed by celebrities wearing designer labels. Priyanka Chopra too walked the Red Carpet with the Mad Hatter theme, with the dress designed by Dior. Along with the dress she even dramatically did her makeup which made her the topic of discussion in social media as well as a new victim of memes.
This year’s Met Gala theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, by which the Metropolitan Museum of Art meant anything from the shade card of ‘irony’, ‘humor’, ‘parody’,’pastiche’, ‘artifice’, ‘theatre’, and ‘exaggeration’.
Priyanka’s eye-catching Dior outfit, complete with futuristic makeup, outsize hair and even a bindi deserves a worth mentioning for the trollers, and a slight clap of appreciation. Although she is true to her theme, Twitter however has no respect or taste for Avant Garde fashion and you know what it means-memes.

What made her more of a victim of memes was not because of her outfit, but it was her eccentric makeup wit exaggerated eyelashes and Afro-inspired hairdo. She even plays the metallic cage crown of sorts in the midst of her Afro-curls.

While we are very proud of Priyanka’s fashion evolution at fashion galas, Twitter pointed out uncanny similarities between Priyanka’s Met Gala look and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. Who would’ve thought Priyanka Chopra would become a victim of trail of Twitter memes and trolls.
