Vancouver : Popular Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa who is currently on tour performing across the United States, was reportedly attacked by an unidentified assailant after coming out of a show in Vancouver, Canada.
The unidentified assailant reportedly hit Guru Randhawa on the head from behind when the singer was on his way out of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre after completing the concert. The alleged assaulter ran out after striking Guru and hasn’t been identified yet.
A key witness in the incident was quoted saying that the assaulter was spotted misbehaving during the concert of Guru Randhawa. However, soon the after the reported attack, the police arrived at the theatre with ambulance and carried away Guru from the spot.
Guru has sung some very popular Punjabi party songs which are also chartbusters such as Suit Suit, High Rated Gabru. Down Town and Aja Ni Aja. He recently collaborated with Pitbull to sing yet another song- Slowly Slowly.
The Police remarked Guru Randhawa as out of danger and is being released by the hospital where he underwent treatment post attack.. The Vancouver police is currently investigating the matter.
