Digital Desk: Ranveer Singh's nude photoshoot may have been released weeks ago, but it is still causing quite a stir across the country. As a series of FIRs were filed against the actor, he finally recorded his own statement in the case.

Reportedly, the Chembur police today (August 29) recorded Ranveer Singh's statement. Today at 9 am, the actor appeared at the Chembur Police Station, where he gave an almost two-hour-long statement.

The police will contact the actor again if required!

The investigation has been going on for quite some time. Ranveer posed naked for Paper Magazine back in July. The photographs were first made public by the magazine, and then, a few days later, Ranveer shared them on his personal social media account.

Several FIRs were filed against the actor in this regard by an NGO and another individual, who claimed that the actor was sharing "obscene" stuff on social media and that the photographs had hurt the sentiments of women and insulted their modesty.

He had been scheduled to deliver his statement on August 22 but had requested an extension. According to the police, "Chembur police station summoned actor Ranveer Singh and asked him to appear tomorrow.  The actor has requested a two-week extension to appear; a new summons will be issued by Chembur police after a new date is set: Mumbai Police."

Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. The film, an adaption of William Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors, is planned to be released around Christmas this year.

In addition, he is now working on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which stars Alia Bhatt. The movie is anticipated to premiere on February 11, 2023.
