Digital Desk: Indian Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan received the death threat through a phone call, and soon Mumbai Police were on alert. The call, according to the source, was made at around 8 a.m. on November 5. When the caller who said his name was Hindustani told Khan that he was standing outside the superstar’s luxurious house, Mannat. After the threat, an FIR was lodged at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai. The caller reportedly demanded ₹50 lakhs, threatening to kill Bollywood's Badshah if the demand wasn't met. as possible.
Police said the call was traced back to a prepaid connection from Raipur, Chhattisgarh state. When they tried reaching out to the owner of the phone number, Faizan, he explained to them that he had lost his phone on the 2nd of November. He had registered the loss at a police station in Raipur on the same day. As Faizan said, someone had used his lost phone number to make the threat. Mumbai Police called on him earlier today at around 7 AM to take his statement.
According to Mumbai Police, under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the BNS, it has charged the unknown caller. The police have provided Khan Y+ security protection to protect him from the threats he has received and is the second large Bollywood personality who has lately been given protection, including actor Salman Khan.
