Thank God starring Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra lands in trouble; MP Education Minister seeks ban on the movie
It was also reported more than a week ago that the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJJS) was also requesting a ban on the movie because it supposedly mocks the Hindu beliefs associated with Chitragupta and Yamraj.

Digital Desk: The movie Thank God, starring Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh, faced difficulties days after the launch of the trailer. The education minister for Madhya Pradesh, Vishvas Sarang,  has addressed a letter to Anurag Thakur, the union minister for information and broadcasting, asking for a ban on the movie. The politician claims in his letter that the movie inappropriately represents Hindu gods.

In his tweet on Tuesday, he said that the film makes fun of Lord Vishnu. "The constant ridicule of Hindu religion in Bollywood movies and OTT shows reflects anti-Hindu mentality," he wrote.

However, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting hasn't released any statement on the matter. Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that the movie's trailer had been outlawed in Kuwait since it had not been approved by the censor board.

It was also reported more than a week ago that the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJJS) was also requesting a ban on the movie because it supposedly mocks the Hindu beliefs associated with Chitragupta and Yamraj.

It is directed by Indra Kumar. This Diwali, on October 25, 2022, the movie is scheduled to be released.
