New Delhi : Google as well as Apple has complied with the order passed on by the Indian government requesting the two corporate giants to remove the Chinese video sharing application Tik Tok from play store and App store respectively. With the Tik Tok banned in India, no app store will now show the app or even let users in India specifically download the app any further.

India’s Ministry of Electronics and Informational technology had directed the two corporate giants Apple and Google to immediately remove the app from their respective app stores.
Tik Tok no more available in play stores and app stores
The Madras High Court on the other hand refused to suspend the ban on Tik Tok and appointed Advocate Arvind Datar as independent counsel in this case. On the other hand, the Supreme Court will hear the matter on April 22.
Meanwhile, reacting to Madras HC’s order , the company said, “We have faith in the Indian judicial system and we are optimistic about an outcome that would allow over 120 Million active users every month in India to continue using Tik Tok to showcase their creativity and capture the moments that matter in their everyday lives.”
