Digital Desk: Veteran actor, director, and filmmaker Manoj Kumar passed away at the age of 87 in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Friday. The legendary actor breathed his last at 4:03 am on April 4.

The actor's last rites will be performed on April 5 at 11 PM at Pawan Hans in front of Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle, his son Kunal Goswami said.
Expressing sorrow over the demise of the actor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on X, "Deeply saddened by the passing of legendary actor and filmmaker Shri Manoj Kumar Ji. He was an icon of Indian cinema, who was particularly remembered for his patriotic zeal, which was also reflected in his films. Manoj Ji's works ignited a spirit of national pride and will continue to inspire generations. My thoughts are with his family and admirers in this hour of grief. Om Shanti."
As per reports, the legendary actor was admitted to the Mumbai-based hospital on February 21 and has been under medical care since then. He was battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for several months.
The medical reports reveal that Manoj Kumar's death caused due to cardiogenic shock following an acute myocardial infarction.
