    Digital Desk: As a legendary actress, Asha Parekh turned 80 on Sunday, it was a triumphant moment on September 30, 2022, as she was awarded the highest honour in Indian cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Asha Parekh received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 and the Padma Shri in 1992.

    Asha Parekh is the first woman to serve as Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
