    1 604 new Covid-19 cases reported in 24 hours, reported Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
    As shown by preliminary statistics, India's Covid-19 immunisation coverage has surpassed 219.63 crores as of 7 a.m. on Sunday.

    Digital Desk: Based on a statement issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday, the country recorded 1,604 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload is presently 18,317. 

    According to preliminary statistics, India's Covid-19 immunisation coverage has surpassed 219.63 crores as of 7 a.m. on Sunday. 

    The country's active caseload is presently 18,317, according to the ministry, with active cases accounting for 0.04 per cent of total positive cases.

    As a result, India's recovery rate is at 98.77%. In the previous 24 hours, 2,081 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients (from the start of the pandemic) to 4,41,04,933. 

    Reportedly the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that approximately 4.12 crore first-dose immunizations were delivered to children aged 12 to 14. The government also stated that vaccinations for children aged 12 to 14 years old began on March 16, this year. 

    Similarly, the Covid-19 cautionary dose administration for the age range 18-59 years began on April 10, 2022.

    In the last 24 hours, 1,57,218 Covid-19 tests had been run. As stated by the ministry, India has performed around 90.08 crore cumulative tests. The weekly positivity rate in the country is currently 1.08 per cent, with a daily positivity rate of 1.02 per cent.
