Hornbill Festival likely to be cancelled this year

Kohima: Nagaland’s famous Hornbill festival which is held every year from December 1 is likely to be cancelled this year due to Coronavirus pandemic.

Tourism Advisor H Khehovi Yepthomi had recently addressed the same to the media. He mentioned that small theme-based events could still be held in the district headquarters of Nagaland during the Hornbill season. The situation would once again be reviewed in October-November.

Thousands of people from across different Indian states come for the Hornbill festival every year. A huge rush and influx of tourists is witnessed every year in Nagaland during the Hornbill season.
