    Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe passed away on Friday morning in the city of
    Nara after being shot twice. After being brought to the hospital, Shinzo Abe
    had "no vital signs," according to a previous government statement.
    The former Japanese prime minister was reportedly shot twice by an unidentified
    assailant as he was giving a speech during a campaign. The gunshot that was
    fired at Shinzo Abe caused him to bleed to death. He was
    "unconscious" when he was taken to the hospital. 


    According to reports
    a man who is thought to be the suspect has been detained. Shinzo Abe was shot
    while making a speech at an event in Nara as the former prime minister of
    Japan.

    Shinzo Abe was campaigning, a loud gunshot-like noise was heard, and the former
    Japanese prime minister then fell to the ground.



     According to reports,
    Shinzo Abe displayed no vital signs after being brought to the hospital.



     



     "Abe was giving a campaign speech on a
    street in Nara on Friday when he was attacked by a man from behind. Around
    11.30 am, police arrested the attacker of Abe, according to a report in The
    Japan Times.



     



    Tetsuya Yamagami, a
    41-year-old resident of Nara City, has been named by the Japanese Police as the
    suspect in the shooting of former prime minister Shinzo Abe on Friday,
    according to Japanese media.
