    BYJU'S announced as official sponsor of FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022

    BYJU'S founder and CEO, said: "We are excited to be sponsoring the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the biggest single-sport event in the world.


    Digital Desk: On Thursday, the Indian education technology firm BYJU'S was named an Official Sponsor of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

    The Bengaluru-based company, which provides online education to students of all ages, also sponsors the Indian cricket team and claims this is its first major foray into soccer.

    BYJU'S will use its rights to the FIFA World Cup 2022TM marks, emblem, and assets, as well as run unique promotions, to connect with passionate football fans all over the world. As part of a multifaceted activation strategy, it will also create engaging and creative content with educational messages.

    Kay Madati, chief commercial officer of world soccer's governing body FIFA, said: "We are delighted to be partnered with a company like BYJU'S, which is also engaging communities and empowering young people wherever they may be in the world."

    The agreement follows FIFA's announcement on Tuesday that it had entered into a sponsorship agreement with Singapore-based Crypto.com for the World Cup, which will be held from November 21 to December 18. The agreement's financial terms were not disclosed. BYJU'S is a multinational educational technology company based in Bangalore, India.

    Byju Raveendran and Divya Gokulnath founded it in 2011. BYJU's is valued at US$18 billion and has over 115 million registered students as of December 2021. BYJU's products are available in over 120 countries, thanks to its corporate headquarters in Bengaluru, India, and offices in 21 countries. BYJU'S was awarded the sponsorship rights for the Indian cricket team's jersey in July 2019.
