This examination will be conducted in all permitted and recognized institutions under AHSEC's jurisdiction. In a recent notification, the council has instructed the heads of these institutions to make all necessary arrangements for the exam, including the preparation of the Pre-Final Exam routine, the creation of subject-wise question papers, supplying blank answer scripts, issuing admit cards, evaluating answer scripts, declaring results, and distributing mark sheets.
The notification also states that examination-conducting institutions must securely store the subject-wise marks obtained by students for future reference by the council.
The examination for subjects with practical parts will be divided as follows:
1. 70/30 (70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practical)
2. 30/70 (30 marks for theory and 70 marks for practical)
3. 60/40 (60 marks for theory and 40 marks for practical)
4. 50/50 (50 marks for theory and 50 marks for practical)
For certain subjects like Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Political Science, Sociology, Swadesh Adhyayan, and others with practical components, 80 marks will be allocated to theory, and 20 marks for internal assessment and project work. Subjects with no practical component will remain at a total of 100 marks.
The introduction of the Pre-Final Test Examination aims to better prepare students for the HS examination in 2024, providing them with valuable experience and feedback before the crucial final examination.
